by Sharang Kalra Send a message - 19 Nov 2019, 11:15 PM

Hi Guys,

I wanted to know a little bit about how the credits are being used by the mentor.

I gave my first case, my mentor checked my case and we had a hour's long skype session.

now he has deducted 2 Credits off my balance.

1 for the skype session and another for checking the case.

Is this how it works? Is this the same for everyone?

Because I dont remember this while signing up for the course.

Thanks/ Regards

Hello house,

On the CPA website it is stated that the exam venue for the Sept 2019 PEP in Ottawa is Tudor Hall North Bowesville road. Need the help of anyone who has written an exam at this venue to confirm the following:

-Is there usually enough parking within or around the venue for writers?

-Is parking free or paid?

-Any other important information worth noting for someone driving to the venue or writing the exam at the venue for the very first time.

Many thanks for your help.

Webinar: ASPE Review - Inventory
by Jennifer McDonald Send a message - 25 Feb 2017, 2:21 PM

The comparison to IFRS slide for inventory, states "interest costs under IFRS are always attributable, whereas under ASPE they are not". Does this mean that interest under IFRS is always capitalized, whereas under ASPE it is not.

However on an earlier slide, borrowing costs are capitalized.

Can you please clarify the difference in interest costs for inventory between IFRS and ASPE.

Thank you!
