I am little struggle for accounting issues for case writing. For example, I felt that there may be a issue here. But I don't know which section I need to look. It is impossible for me to read each section under time pressure of the exam.How do I use handbook in the case writing under time pressure? How do I study each section of book?
Hey Stefan, unfortunately there's no easy way/method to navigate the HB sections other than using the query function, which I don't recommend doing during the exam. During the exam there really is no time to search for topics that you don't understand or familiar with as you take away time from doing other assessment opportunities.
What I've been doing as part of my prep is getting familiar with the most tested FR issues from the last 3 CFE's and learn/ memorize were they are located in the HB so during the exam you can easily navigate to the section you need when you see the topic come up. The case facts in the exam will guide you to which section/ HB criteria you need to use and the more practice cases / debriefs that you do the more easier it will get using the HB.
